Churches Together in England
The Presidents of Churches Together in England have put together the following statement about Light a candle of hope: A national call to prayer. You can read the statement here.
This includes a call for a day of prayer and action on Sunday 22nd March, which is, of course, Mothering Sunday. The suggestion is that people are encouraged to light a candle and put it in their windows at 7pm as a sign of the light of life, Jesus Christ, our source and hope in prayer.
Please support this and encourage others to join in this act of solidarity.
Morning service - 10.45am
Our services are relaxed, informal and often lively.
We hope you will find a warm welcome.
The second Sunday in the month is an 'all age' service where our uniformed organisations parade.
The fourth Sunday in the month includes Holy Communion.
Every Sunday (apart from the second in the month and sometimes during school holidays) our children and young people begin the service in the church and then go to their own groups for age-appropriate activities.
All our leaders and workers with children and young people have attended safeguarding training and have received DBS clearance.
